After Care
Proper after care of your tattoo or piercing will improve the overall quality of your outcome as well as prevent infection. Please be sure to follow these guidelines and get the best results possible.
Tattoo Care
- Remove bandage after 1 hour.
- Gently clean tattoo with warm soapy water using your finger tips, 2 times daily. (No towels or wash cloths!)
- Gently pat dry with paper towel and allow to dry completely.
- When dry, apply extremely small amount of antibiotic ointment 2 times daily for 2 days.
- After 2 days start using unscented, water-based lotion. Use very little! Just 2 to 3 times a day just to keep it moisturized. It's very important not to overuse ointments or lotions.
- Do not pick, scratch, rub, or in any way disturb the tattoo as it heals other than to clean it gently.
- Do not get the tattoo wet apart from cleaning it 2 times daily.
- Do not rebandage or allow clothes to rub on it.
- Follow these instructions for at least 2 weeks!
